Crowley Marine Services is Hiring 6 New Positions
Crowley Marine Services (Valdez) operates 17 vessels, both manned barges and tugs, in Prince William Sound and Valdez Harbor. These vessels provide Ship Assist/Escort and Oil Response services to our customer, ALYESKA/SERVS, managers of both the Alaska Pipeline and Valdez Oil Terminal.
We currently employ over 200 mariners in licensed and unlicensed positions ranging from entry level Ordinary Seaman to Limited Tonnage Masters with Towing Endorsements. All our mariners hold US Coast Guard issued Merchant Mariner Credentials (MMC's) and Homeland Security Department issued Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC's). In addition, our mariners are required to pass a Company/Customer mandated Drug/Alcohol screening and Company/USCG required physical exams.
In 2012, we are creating 6 new positions (Ordinary Seaman/Wiper rating) aboard our tugs. These entry level positions are an excellent opportunity for a individual looking to start out in the Maritime Industry. Our Marine Personnel and Human Resources Departments are also a source of information and assistance in the initial application and documentation process. Also, Crowley works closely with AVTEC, Alaska's Technical Institute, in Seward, to promote maritime deck and engineering training through both scholarship awards and license advancement programs available to qualified applicants.
