Rod Worl
Chief Executive Officer
Rod Worl is Chief Executive Officer of The Eyak Corporation, a position he has held since 2005. He also serves as President on each of TEC’s subsidiaries. Rod is a member of the corporation’s Finance/Investment Committee and the Eyak Permanent Fund Settlement Trust Committee.
Rod also serves on the Board of Directors of the Anchorage Museum Association, Koahnic Native Broadcast Corporation (Vice Chair), and Native American Bank.
Worl is of the Tlingit Nation, Eagle Tribe, and the Thunderbird Clan. He holds a masters of business administration from the University of Washington and a bachelor of science in fisheries from Humboldt State University.
Brennan Cain
Vice President and General Counsel
Brennan Cain is Vice President and General Counsel for The Eyak Corporation, a position he has held since 2012. He also serves on the Management Board of Orca International Management, LLC. Brennan is a non-voting member of the corporation’s Communications, Descendant Issues, Donations, Governance, Land, and Shareholder Advisory committees.
Prior to his employment with TEC, Brennan was a partner in the law firms Timme & Cain and Middleton & Timme, where he worked primarily with Alaska Native Corporations on corporate, commercial, litigation and natural resource matters. He is a co-Chair of the Alaska Native Law Section of the Alaska Bar Association, serves on the BLM’s Alaska Resource Advisory Council, and is a member of the Alaska Native Village Corporation Association’s Land Committee.
Brennan received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Davis, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management from Virginia Tech. He lives in Anchorage with his wife Rebecca and their son.
Sue Jolin
Vice President of Finance
Sue Jolin is Vice President of Finance for The Eyak Corporation. She had served as TEC’s Senior Controller since her hiring in July 2015. Sue serves on the corporation’s Audit, Compensation, and Finance/Investment committees.
Prior to joining TEC, Sue worked for the Anchorage School District, serving in various roles for seven years, most recently as the Executive Director of Finance. She also worked for Era Aviation for five years holding various positions, including Assistant Controller. She grew up in Eagle River, Alaska.
Sue is a graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage with a BBA in Business Management and Global Logistics Management and is scheduled to graduate with an MBA from West Texas A&M University on May 14, 2016. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband and two children.
Angela Butler
General Manager - Cordova Operations
Angela Butler is General Manager of Cordova Operations for The Eyak Corporation, a position she has held since 2012. Angela is the director of The Eyak Foundation and is a non-voting member of the land and donations committees. She is also a shareholder of The Eyak Corporation.
Prior to her employment with TEC, Angela was Executive Director at Native Village of Eyak where she worked to provide excellent service delivery in all areas from cultural heritage to health care and oversaw transportation, renewable energy, environmental research and other programs. She has served on the Cordova Family Resource Center board of directors since 2008 and Prince William Sound Science Center board of directors since 2012.
Angela received her Master of Public Administration in 2010 from Kent State University and her Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Sociology in 2002 from Eastern Oregon University. She lives in her home town, Cordova with her husband Brian and kids.
Heidi Van Gilder
Office and Shareholder Relations Manager
Heidi Van Gilder is The Eyak Corporation’s Office and Shareholder Relations Manager. She also serves as the Project Coordinator for The Eyak Foundation, working alongside the Trustees to provide scholarships to our shareholders and descendants to help them meet their educational goals.
Prior to joining TEC’s Team, Heidi worked for Chugach Alaska Corporation (CAC) in Shareholder Development supporting the VP, shareholder hire, and Internship and Apprenticeship programs.
Heidi was born and raised in Cordova, Alaska, and is an Eyak Corporation shareholder. She very much enjoys working with our shareholders and descendants. She says, being able to talk and see everyone makes living in Anchorage feel more like home!
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and son.
Peggy Fisher
Senior Accountant
Peggy is the Senior Accountant for The Eyak Corporation. She serves on the Retirement Committee. Peggy came to us after working 20 years for the Anchorage School District, where she worked in various positions with the last 9 years as an Accountant.
Peggy grew up in New Jersey and came to Anchorage in 1981, where she raised her family. She loves the close proximity to the beautiful scenery and wildlife that Alaska has to offer. In her spare time, she likes to go on long hikes on the many trails in the Anchorage area.
Bud Pryde
Facility Security Officer
Norman “Bud” Pryde is the Facility Security Officer (FSO) for The Eyak Corporation, a position he has held since 2008.
Prior to his employment with TEC, Bud served in the United States Air Force for 27 years retiring as a SMSgt (E-8) in 2007.
Bud received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland University College and his Masters Degree from Liberty University in September 2016 in Pastoral Ministries. He lives in Clinton, Maryland with his wife Tia and they have one daughter who is currently serving on Active Duty in the United States Air Force.
Raven Madison
Public Relations Assistant for Eyak Development
Raven Madison is an Assistant and works in Public Relations for Eyak Development Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Eyak Corporation. Raven is Eyak as well as a shareholder of The Eyak Corporation. She graduated in 2015 with her Associates of Arts and Science from Whatcom Community College. Raven lives in her home town, Cordova, and attends the University of Alaska Fairbanks via its Distant Learning Program. She is pursuing a degree in Rural Development concentrating on Natural Resources and minoring in Alaska Native Studies. She is also working with the Native Village of Eyak as the Youth Coordinator and owns her own business that involves using the local flora as alternative medicine. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, working on her sewing projects, as well as going on hikes, hunting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors with her boyfriend Jerry and their dog Trigger.
